Effective date: October 18, 2026
Notary By Zuniga is a mobile notary and loan signing service operated by Cilantro & Co., LLC, Los Angeles, California (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect through notarybyzuniga.com and our client app at app.notarybyzuniga.com (together, the “site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and appointment requests: your name, email address, phone number, the service you need, your city, when you need it, and anything you write in your message.
- Online booking: when you book through our Google Calendar booking page, Google collects the details you enter (such as name, email and phone) and the appointment time, and shares them with us.
- Calls, texts and emails: whatever you send us when you contact us directly.
- Professional inquiries: if you represent a law firm, title or escrow company, lender or signing service, your name, company, email and message.
What we collect automatically
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It collects information such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, the website or search that brought you here, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and an identifier stored in a cookie on your browser.
- Google signals: we have turned on Google Analytics features that can link this activity with information from Google accounts of users who have allowed ad personalization, to give us aggregated demographic and cross-device reports. We do not receive anything that identifies you personally from these reports.
- Fonts: pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
At an appointment (not online): California law requires a notary to record certain information in a journal, including the signer’s identification and, for some documents, a thumbprint. That journal is kept under the notary’s exclusive control and is disclosed only as California law permits.
How we use information
- To answer your request, schedule and confirm appointments, and provide notary and signing services.
- To send you appointment confirmations, invoices and receipts.
- To understand and improve the site.
- To keep records the law requires and to protect against fraud.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the information in documents you sign to market to you.
Who we share information with
- Service providers that help us run the business: for example, Google (booking, email and analytics), Cloudflare (our client app and lead system), Apple (encrypted device and file storage), our web host, and payment providers when you pay us. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- The company that hired us: when a title company, escrow company, lender, signing service or law firm hired us for your appointment, we share what is needed to complete the work, such as completion details and the signed documents they instructed us to return.
- When the law requires it: for example, in response to a subpoena or court order, or a request from the California Secretary of State about a notarial act.
Your choices
- Analytics opt-out: you can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can also control ad personalization in your Google account’s ad settings.
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
- Review or correct your information: email us to see, correct or delete the contact information we hold about you. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, such as the notary journal.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. The site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
Tracking by other parties
Google, through Google Analytics and Google signals, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use this site. We do not allow other parties to place advertising trackers on the site.
How we protect information
We use reasonable security measures to protect information, such as encrypted devices and limiting access to Carlos. We delete appointment documents and scans after the company that hired us confirms receipt, except records the law requires us to keep. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. When a minor needs a document signed, we work with the minor’s parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
